Answers
1 Unpacking & storage
1.1    Contents, Unpacking & Storage - Procedure and Precautions
1.1.1  Packed carton box contains - Operating manual for CGM96 series meter, Limited Warranty Certificate.
1.1.2  First check the carton for signs of damage or liquid spills. If any damage is found, then you must lodge a claim with the transporter. In this case, please contact the transporter before proceeding with the unpacking; he may want his agent to be present. Please also read the Schneider Electric Conzerv Limited Warranty certificate received with the meter.
1.1.3     Do not remove the protective plastic cover of your new Meters until the time of installation. Preserve the packing material. This will be required if the Meter needs to be shipped later for service or calibration.
2 Installation/ commissioning .
2.1  Procedure of installation & commissioning
2.1.1  Please go through the Operating Manual for CGM series meter supplied with each new Meter for instructions, installation/ commissioning. Refer wiring Diagram stuck on the case behind the bezel
3 Clarifications
3.1   Clarifications on product/product features
3.1.1    Call nearest contact point of Schneider Electric Conzerv for assistance
3.1.2  Call our dealers across India, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia and Singapore. Visit our Products & Services section for more details
3.1.3   Call 1800 425 0555 (Toll Free Phone No. - all over India) for online assistance.
3.1.4     Write to contact@conzerv.com for details.
3.2

Does the meter sense all the 3 phases?

3.2.1  Two phases are connected to meter as reference to evaluate the power
quality. The meter will diagnose if any one phase fails out of these twophases. If third phase fails then the meter cannot sense. If all the 3 phases sensing is required, connect the two-phase voltages input to the meter through an auxiliary contactor, connect the third phase as an auxiliary supply to auxiliary contactor.
3.3   Can we energise the stop and start solenoids without any contactor s or relays?
3.3.1  No. It is necessary to use 12V or 24V external DC contactors to energise the solenoids.
3.4

Is an individual alarm available for diagnosing?

3.4.1   Yes. At the front panel of the meter, we can get to know the status of alarm. However external alarm (hooter) is common for all set parameters.
3.5  Can we set Upper and Lower limits for different parameters at site?
3.5.1  Yes. Only by connecting the auxiliary supply of 7 to 40VDC
3.6

Does the meter require external auxiliary supply?

3.6.1

7 to 40 VDC auxiliary supply is required.

3.7

Is the meter PC compatible?

3.7.1

No.

4   Problems after installation
4.1  CGM96-SR not showing display in spite of giving DC power supply.
4.1.1  Check for DC power supply and polarity.
4.2

All connections are OK, but still the meter is not showing frequency display.

4.2.1

Increase the frequency tolerance range if frequency is lesser than the set tolerance.

4.3

Connections are OK but meter is getting reset when given the starting command .

4.3.1 Check and ensure that the battery voltage is adequate.
4.3.2 Make sure that the battery is very near to instrument
4.4

Start LED is blinking continuously

4.4.1

Check the battery voltage. Re-charge the battery, if necessary.

4.4.2

Check and set the oil pressure, if necessary

4.5

Oil pressure LED is blinking

4.5.1

Check and set the oil pressure, if necessary

4.6

Temperature LED is blinking

4.6.1

Check and set the temperature range, if necessary.

4.7 Battery LED is blinking
4.7.1  Check the battery voltage and set the range if necessary.
4.8 Electric Main/ Generator breaker contactor LED is ON but breaker is not getting closed.
4.8.1  Check the continuity between terminal number 25 & 26 of relay (for
generator)
4.8.2 Check the continuity between terminal number 23 & 24 of relay (for electric contactor)
4.9    Voltage indication LED is not glowing
4.9.1 Voltage supply may not be available or voltage tolerance could be out of the preset value
4.9.2  Check the voltage at terminals no. 17 & 18 of relay for generator
4.9.3 Check the voltage at terminals no. 15 & 16 of relay for electrical main voltage.
