While the entire industrial world was getting all worked up over Liquid    Crystal Display (LCD), Conzerv decided to take a more realistic approach. "Does "new" technology necessarily mean "better" solutions?" was the most frequently asked question at iLabs.

After a characteristically thorough analysis about the pros and cons of LCD over the previously used LED, it was universally acknowledged that a Light Emitting Diode suits our purpose best.

All past and current Conzerv products are therefore equipped with an LED display panel over an LCD, and the resulting advantages can be clearly viewed below:

Given the same ambient lighting and other environmental conditions, the LED display has a far better visibility than an LCD, and can be viewed clearly even from across the room. The LED display also makes more sense considering that quite a few applications of the energy meter would require distant viewing.
