Answers
1    Unpacking & Storage
1.1 Contents, Unpacking & storage - Procedure and Precautions
1.1.1 Packed carton box contains - Operating manual for AR5 series analyzer, Limited Warranty Certificate.
1.1.2 First check the carton for signs of damage or liquid spills. If any damage is found, then you must lodge a claim with the transporter. In this case, please contact the transporter before proceeding with the unpacking; he may want his agent to be present. Please also read the Conzerv Limited Warranty certificate received with the analyzer.
1.1.3  Do not remove the protective plastic cover of your new Meters until the time of installation. Preserve the packing material. This will be required if the Analyzer needs to be shipped later for service or calibration.

3.3

How does the analyzer communicate with PC?

3.3.1

Communication to PC through RS232 port.

3.4

What is the difference between AR5 & AR5L?

3.4.1  AR5L has got all the features of AR5 plus - backlit LCD display, password protection, four current probes to measure all three phases and neutral, auto detection of connected current CT ratio, battery status, display turning OFF, neutral current measurement. Difference in features are listed below:

AR5 AR5L
One processor for measurement and calculation Two processors:      -1 processor to measure  -1 processor to process the measured values
LCD display Back lighted LCD display (the illumination mode is selected by a quick pressing of the OFF key)
Current Clamps ratio should be programmable manually. Current clamps ratio can be programmed manually or automatically (The AR5L will detect which is the connected clamp and will adjust the set-up.)
Neutral current measurement not possible Neutral current measurement through separate CT
3 phase 4 wire or 3 phase 3 wire measurement 3 phase 4 wires including single phase and bi phase or 3 phase 3 wire measurement
No password protection for switching off of the measurement Possible to protect the AR5L switching- OFF by password.
Recording status will not be displayed While the AR5L is storing, the message "RECORD" appears in the display
2 types of power supply:- 230 V AC or 110 V as per the models Power Supply: universal 110/230V(range of 80 . 250)VAC (50 or 60 Hz)
Only one type of battery indication -The Charge Level Three types of battery indication: -Battery level, -Loading battery, -Using battery.
3.5

Once the battery is fully charged, how long does it last?

3.5.1

Minimum eight hours of operation per charge.

3.6

Why is the power vision software required?

3.6.1  Power vision software is required for downloading and analyzing stored data from the analyzer to PC.
3.7

What are the salient features of AR5?

3.7.1 Wiring configuration can be selectable - star or delta, 3 element or 2 element in delta, single phase in star
3.7.2  Name and type of file recording period can be specified (1 sec to 4 hrs)

Problems after installation

4.1

The AR5 does not turn ON

4.1.1

When turning ON the Analyzer, a click should sound.

4.1.2

The AR5 battery could be low.

Low battery message on display does not disappear.

4.2.1

The AR5 battery could be low.

4.2.2

The battery could be damaged

4.2.3  Keep the AR5 powered ON by the power supply adaptor set continuously for 10 hrs. If the low battery message does not disappear contact nearest Conzerv contact point.
4.3

Maximum and Minimum values are not correct

4.3.1

Previously stored maximum and minimum values are not deleted.

4.3.2

CTR/PTR changed.

4.4

Energy counter readouts are not correct.

4.4.1

Previously measured values are not deleted.

4.4.2

CTR/ PTR changed.

4.4.3  Energy counter exceeded the maximum value 999999.999kW and accumulation could have started again from 0.
4.5

AR5 does not communicate

4.5.1

The AR 5 must be powered ON

4.5.2 The power supplier set is connected to main and green light is displaying in it.
4.5.3

The AR5 is connected to the PC through the power supplier set

4.5.4 AR5 must be at any visualization screen but not at any set up or transmission screen.
